jenny had a certain number of beads in a box.she used 1/2 of them plus 8 beads to make a necklace.Then she used 1/4 of the remaining beads to make a bracelet.after that,there were 48 beads left in the box.how many beads did she use to make the necklace?

=16
4 units-16x4
=64
64+8=72
72x2=144

The ratio of the number trish bought to the number of plants sarah bought was 2:5.Trish bought 16 plants.if each plant cost $17,what was the total cost of the plants trish and sarah bought?

2 units-16 plants
1 unit-16 divide 2=8 plants
2+5=7
7 units =8x7=56 plants

trish and sarah bought 56 plants altogether.

total cost=56x17=$952

1/4->69 divide by 3=23
